Full-stack engineer · Kolkata

I build systemsthat hold underreal-world load.

I design the database, build the API and the interface, and run the deployment. Today that means platforms for West Bengal government departments; before that, a CRM/ERP that 13+ solar businesses run on.

01About

Full-stack,
with a backend bias.

I’m a full-stack engineer based in Kolkata. Since 2024 I’ve worked on production systems end to end: schema design, APIs, web and mobile clients, queues, caching and AWS deployment. Most of it has been operational software, the kind where a slow page or a lost record has a real cost for the people using it.

At NexIntel Synergy I build platforms for West Bengal government departments, including a system that coordinates 500+ field staff at public events. Before that I built PVERP, a CRM/ERP that 13+ solar businesses now run on.

I also co-run Matrix Studio with two partners, taking on web, mobile and AI work for outside clients, and build side projects such as SanketBani, a 3D Indian Sign Language app.

Online I go by Phinix-BI: the same handle on GitHub and LeetCode.

01

Own the whole path

I design the schema, write the API, build the interface and deploy it. Fewer hand-offs means fewer places for things to go wrong.

02

Measure, then optimise

I profile first and fix what the numbers point at. At NexIntel that meant caching and background queues: response times down 35%, database load down 40%.

03

Built to be maintained

Typed code, explicit schemas, and access control designed in from the start rather than retrofitted.

  1. Jan 2025 — PresentSalt Lake, Kolkata

Software Engineer @ NexIntel Synergy Pvt. Ltd.

    • Built the Mass Gathering and Hygiene Management System for the West Bengal government. It coordinates 500+ field staff at public events, with severity-based incident classification, automated escalation and a live dashboard for senior authorities.
    • Introduced Redis caching and BullMQ queues on high-frequency endpoints. Average response time fell 35% and database load 40% under peak multi-department traffic.
    • Delivered the staff management module for 200+ department users: attendance, duty assignment, shift scheduling and role-based access control.
    • Designed the relational schemas and query plans behind large government datasets; queries stay under 200ms with concurrent departments.
    • Shipped a sanitation logistics platform used across multiple cities for waste-collection routing and hygiene reporting.

    Freelance Full-Stack Engineer @ Independent

    • Designed and built PVERP, a solar CRM and ERP, from scratch. It went live with one large solar enterprise and 12+ smaller businesses, with 100+ daily active users covering the full path from lead to completed project.
    • Built 14+ integrated modules: sales pipeline, project management, retail, insurance, accounts and billing, HR and payroll, issue tracking and real-time chat. Also built the React Native app site engineers use in the field.
    • Sent 1,000+ emails a week through a BullMQ queue with no delivery failures. Redis handles sessions, query caching and rate limiting at a 60%+ cache hit rate.
    • Deployed on AWS (EC2, S3) with Docker Compose and kept uptime above 99.5%.
